Adventure Pinball: Forgotten Island is a unique pinball title that's one of the most unorthodox mix of genres to date: pinball and platform game. Pinball fanatics interested in hardcore simulations of arcade tables probably won't know what to make of Adventure Pinball, so heres the dish: The main game gives you a series of tasks that you need to complete in order to progress through the game's story and onto the next table. Within each level, there are usually three or more tables that are linked by ramps and tunnels. The main playfield on each level is generally bigger, and there are more bonuses and points to rack up on itbut you need to get to the smaller side tables to complete various tasks, such as helping a character named Ooga water her strawberries. You complete the tasks by hitting the right targets at the right time, just as in a regular pinball game. You can play any of the tables individually as well.

The main difference in Adventure Pinball, however, are the pinball "tables" themselves. Actually, they're not tables at all. The environments mimic more natural outdoor surroundings complete with trees, water, volcanoes, and the like. Unique camera cuts and plenty of animations (one level has a 3D T-Rex stomping around) make Adventure Pinball a unique pinball game.
