Hitman 2: Silent Assassin by Eidos for PC is a 3D action game that puts you in the role of a genetically engineered assassin Codename 47. This time it's not just business. It's personal. Hitman 2 offers a variety of ways to complete a mission, first- and third-person perspective, mid-mission save options, a new ranking system, and a revised inventory system that allows you to acquire and carry weapons and equipment from mission to mission. Codename 47 is armed with an arsenal of over 30 weapons such as pistols, sub-machine guns, shotguns and sniper rifles. Youll play as the Hitman, a crack assassin tricked back into the life of crime by his old boss. Using weapons that range from knives and guns to chloroform and poison darts, youll take out targets and hone your skills for the next victim. If you thought Solid Snake wasnt clever enough, keep your eyes on the Hitman.

Like the Xbox and PS2 versions, Hitman 2 puts you in the role of a mysterious assassin who stalks his prey through impressively wide-open levels. Little guidance is offered, and theres never just one way to accomplish a hit, so the ample thrills come from devising and executing your tactics. With a keyboard and mouse, the controls feel far more natural than the console versions did, while the graphics and sounds are respectably strong without ever dazzling. If stealthy, strategic action intrigues you, Hitman 2 is a blast.
