Preview: Run Like Hell

What would you do if an army of brutal aliens killed the majority of your crew? Run like hell? Good choice. Interplays new science-fiction survival-horror title is heavily influenced by the classic human vs. alien film Aliens. Playing as Captain Nick Conner, you'll attempt to rid your space station of aliens and save your remaining crew members. The aliens will take on various forms, including weaklings, worthy fighters, and brutal combat beasts; one type of alien will have the ability to decapitate its victims and then attach the head to its own body to suck information out of the brain. While Run Like Hell will feature puzzles and plenty of combat, a good deal of the game will be dedicated to running away from aliens. The third-person perspective will be complemented by a cool musical score that reflects whats going on in the game. When things are mellow and youre exploring, the music will be soft and soothing; but when an alien jumps out to knock your head off, the music will become frantic and exciting. With any luck, Run Like Hell will build on the success and fun of games like Resident Evil without being just a simple clone.-- 0 / GamePro
