Spore

Will Wright invented the simulation category with SimCity, then perfected it with The Sims. Now Wright's team is whipping up an ambitious new game that will take players from single-celled simplicity to imperialistic galactic colonization. Spore's flexible Creature Creator, available in a free "lite" version or a $10 download, allows you to build your own dream alien. You can then upload your beast to the Sporepedia or YouTube for all to see. The full game is still rather mysterious, but it's got a galaxy full of potential. -- GamePro
