Preview: Star Trek Bridge Commander

Activision is going to put you in the captain's chair with Star Trek Bridge Commander, a space simulation where players manage a Federation starship from inside a fully-modeled 3D bridge. From your perspective in the seat of command, you'll interact with and issue orders to your fellow crewmembers, each of whom have unique personalites. With the help of Captain Picard and Commander Data (voiced by Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner), you will investigate, negotiate, and do battle with Cardassians, Klingons, and Romulans, as you attempt to uncover the mystery of the deadly explosion that destroyed your former ship and killed your captain. Trekkers can beam aboard when Star Trek Bridge Commander warps into stores in early 2001.

Preview: Star Trek Bridge Commander

Here are some new screenshots of Star Trek Bridge Commander - Activision's upcoming space simulation that allows you to take on the role of a Starfleet captain. These new screens show off some of the ships that you'll be taking on, including a Romulan Warbird and a Ferengi Marauder. From your seat on the 3D bridge, you'll be able to issue orders to your crewmates or take control of the various stations, including tactical, science, and engineering. Old school Trek fans will be pleased to learn that when your ship is under fire, the bridge will shake, sparks will fly, and the crew will be thrown from their chairs.
